Fundraising Success – 2024 Norfolk Area Big Give Results
We are thrilled to share the success of our fundraising efforts for The Norfolk Area Big Give for 2024!
This year we had fun with a “Work vs Play” theme for a friendly competition with our childcare program at Northern Hills Child Care and The Well. Our goal was to raise enough money to purchase a riding lawn mower and two commercial swing sets for our playground. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and donors, we raised a total of $6,027.25!
While we didn’t meet our overall goal, our team’s unofficial motto is “we will either find a way or we’ll make one.” We’ve selected a less expensive mower model and our maintenance team has come up with a fantastic plan to build two swing sets themselves with the remaining funds. This way, we can still enhance our playground as we envisioned.
The swings will bring even more laughter and joy to the children we care for, and the riding lawn mower will be a long term cost savings of over $3,500 per year for lawn care.
We could not have achieved this milestone without the tremendous support from our community and sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed!
