Vicki Blattert is a retired Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to The Well’s Board of Directors, serving since 2019. She retired as the Quality Improvement (QI) professional for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Vicki’s background includes a Master’s of Science in Education and a significant tenure as a dedicated English teacher. Her credentials underscore her commitment to continuous learning and growth, a foundation that enriches her contribution as a board member.

Vicki’s commitment to mental health extends beyond her retirement, as evidenced by her role as a mental health counselor. Her involvement with The Well is driven by a keen awareness of the need for mental health services in the community. This sense of purpose aligns with her position on the Board of the Elkhorn Valley Museum, showcasing her dedication to both historical preservation and contemporary community well-being. Vicki’s ‘why’ is deeply rooted in her belief in the transformative power of mental health services, and her multifaceted background equips her to contribute meaningfully to The Well’s mission.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Vicki’s personal life reflects a deep sense of compassion and community engagement. She channels her energies into volunteering for Faith Regional Health Services Hospice, providing support to those in need during challenging times. Vicki also finds solace and joy in the world of literature, enjoying the simple pleasures of reading.

 

Fun Fact: A cat owner and collector of owls, she brings a touch of whimsy to her life, balancing her serious professional pursuits with a sense of playfulness.
