Counselor

Madolyn (Mady) Hamburger-Wademan is a Counselor at The Well, providing both outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services from our Columbus office. She holds her PLADC credential and began her journey in behavioral health after earning an Associate of Applied Science in Human Resources from Central Community College in Grand Island, where she also completed her Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate. After earning her counseling license in early 2025, Mady joined The Well as a Substance Use Counselor and has been dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery ever since. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Mady chose this field because she wanted an opportunity to give back to her community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families. She believes everyone deserves to be treated with compassion, respect, and understanding, and she strives to create a supportive environment where people feel encouraged throughout their recovery journey.

Outside of work, Mady is a passionate soccer fan and proudly cheers on Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer. If you notice the scarf in her “fun” photo, it’s a nod to her favorite team. When she’s not watching a match, you’ll likely find her with a good book in hand.
