Daphne Darter, LIMHP, LPC, NCC – Mental Health Therapist & School Psychologist

Daphne Darter is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. With a career spanning both clinical and educational settings, Daphne brings a wealth of experience to The Well, providing compassionate therapeutic care to individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges.

Daphne’s work is grounded in building trust and connection. Whether through active listening or well-timed humor, she helps clients feel understood and supported in their healing journeys. Her approach empowers individuals to recognize their own strengths, overcome obstacles, and reach meaningful goals. Daphne believes that while life can be difficult, laughter is a powerful tool—and sometimes healing begins with a smile and a shared moment of lightness.

In addition to her role at The Well, Daphne continues to serve as a school psychologist, supporting students, families, and educators across northeast Nebraska. She is passionate about helping families understand and advocate for their children’s unique needs, and she works to create positive strategies that foster resilience and academic success. Outside of work, Daphne recharges by reading on her Kindle, traveling, and cruising a few times each year—a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

A fun fact about Daphne: as a child, she dreamed of becoming a hairstylist! That early love of creativity still shines through in her personality and therapeutic style. Known for her expressive facial reactions and contagious laugh, Daphne embraces humor in her work, helping clients find moments of joy along their path to healing.
