Ariel Widhalm
she/her
Operations Officer
Ariel Widhalm brings more than 10 years of experience in human services to her role as Operations Officer at The Well. She has worked in Child Protective Services as a Child & Family Services Specialist, served as a house manager for a three-quarter way house, and held several roles at The Well, including Recovery Coach, Case Manager, and Administrative Assistant. With her own lived experience and a passion for continuous learning, Ariel thrives in spaces where she can expand her skills and support The Well’s mission.
For Ariel, this mission is personal. Having faced her own struggles with mental health and substance use, she believes deeply in real solutions rooted in compassion, innovation, and teamwork. She knows the importance of supportive community and comprehensive care — and she’s committed to giving back by helping others find their path to wellness.
Outside of work, Ariel is passionate about music. She loves to sing, cook for others, and has performed with the UNL Marching Band at major venues like Cowboys Stadium, the Holiday Bowl, and the Alamo Bowl. For fun, she enjoys karaoke nights, collecting stationery (especially gel pens), and spending time with her two dogs, Phantom and Ozzy.
Her “fun photo” reflects her love of music and her mermaid namesake — a nod to her lifelong connection to singing, water, and self-expression.
