Shelby has been with The Well for almost three years, previously lending her talents to our Residential Department as a Recovery Coach, working in all 4 Residential facilities. In her current role, as our Care Coordinator in Norfolk, Shelby takes pride in being the face that welcomes all our clients to our Outpatient Office.

Shelby enjoys working in mental health and addiction recovery because it has always been what she has been called to do. After battling with her own mental health and watching addiction exist in the people she loves, she felt a spark that led her to provide support to those that need it. Shelby feels thankful to work at an organization that provides a safe and non-judgmental space for people in their healing journey. Her favorite part about The Well is that we will meet you exactly where you are regardless of what that looks like for you without judgement. She describes a privilege of her job being that she gets to see so much growth every day. She looks forward to continuing this journey alongside The Well and those we serve!

In her free time, Shelby enjoys art of all kinds, whether that be painting on canvas, the written word, or catching her favorite performance in concert or on stage.
