2025 Client Holiday Donation Drive

Hope for the Holidays: Supporting Clients at The Well This Season

Every day at The Well, we welcome individuals who are trying to create a better future. Some are beginning their recovery journey. Others are working to restore stability after difficult circumstances. Many are finding their way through mental health challenges, substance use, or major life shifts. However someone arrives, we meet them where they are to walk along side them in their journey.

Many of our clients come to us with very few personal belongings. A warm pair of socks, a backpack, hygiene items, or a soft blanket may sound simple, but for someone beginning their recovery journey, these basic items can provide comfort, stability, and dignity at a time when everything feels uncertain.

This is what inspires our Hope for the Holidays Gift Drive each year.

Every winter, this drive brings our community together to make sure the adults living in our treatment programs receive meaningful gifts during an often difficult season. These gifts are not just items — they are reminders that each person has value, that they deserve care, and that their community believes in their healing. Year after year, the Norfolk community has shown extraordinary generosity. Your support has made a profound difference, and we’re honored to invite you to be part of this effort once again.

Three Ways You Can Support Our Clients This Holiday Season

1. Give for Today – Shop Our Amazon Wishlist or Shop Locally

These are some of the items our clients wake up to on Christmas morning — backpacks, warm clothing, socks, blankets, hygiene products, journals, and other small comfort items.
Shopping the Amazon Wishlist is the easiest way to help, and everything ships directly to us. If you prefer to shop locally, you can drop off items at 1800 W Pasewalk Ave, Suite 202. Every gift, no matter how it arrives, brings comfort and dignity to someone beginning their healing journey.
